Celebrity match raises huge numbers for charity

The celebrity match at the Liberty Stadium raised over £55,000 for the club's SwansAid charity.

A number of stars from TV, music and sport came together as Adam Woodyatt's side beat Danny Dyer's team 14-12.
As well as the large sum of money that was raised, the Liberty also broke the attendance record for such an event, with 10,567 turning out to play their part in what was a great day.
The club has received some excellent feedback from supporters since last weekend and will be looking at putting on another game at the end of next season.
SwansAid was set up at the beginning of last season in a bid to create special projects within the community.
Since its inception, there have been many beneficiaries of the SwansAid grants, such as the Welsh Air Ambulance, Surfability UK and Ysgol Heol Goffa in Llanelli.
Swansea City vice-chairman Leigh Dineen said: "It was a fantastic day all round. We were overwhelmed by the support shown by everyone who attended and the supporters really bought into the event in a big way.
"The celebrities were fantastic in every aspect, right from the moment they arrived at the Liberty and they all took time out to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.
"But it was all about raising money for great causes and all the profits will now go to SwansAid to help fund different projects within the local community.
"For us to break the attendance record was a special achievement and we are hoping that we can bring another celebrity match back to Swansea and the Liberty Stadium next year."
